In this picture I've now wrapped the entire electrode assembly in vinyl. From what I've read on the Internet when others did this it seemed to improve performance quite a bit. I snipped off the excess from those nylon tie straps and had to rotate the ends away from the corners in order to prevent contact with the inside wall of the PVC. Before I slid the ends away from the edge, as they are in this picture, they contacted with the inside of the assembly making it difficult to engage the threads. Once the ends were moved way from the edge then it went in smoothly with no problems.
