Picture 21
In this closer picture of the carburetor connection you can see which nipple I connected the hose to. It was a tight fit which was great, no vacuum leaks. The white object above the coil and connected to the coil is a resistor because this car has electronic ignition instead of the stock breaker points. The VW 12 volt coil has be done away with in favor of an American style performance coil that needs to have a resistor. This makes the electronic ignition module perform better and won't get as hot as a stock 12 volt VW coil making this car a breeze to start even under the hottest conditions. Other than the coil and the oil filter you may see, this is a stock standard Beetle air cooled engine.
